Neutral A

First off, his neutral a does two quick hits, it can be done several times, but is not advised. It can be used to cancel out projectiles, main purpose, and it also can be used to catch your opponent off guard and do a little damage.

Smashes

Forward Smash- He swings his sword forward and does really good damage. Also, one of the best things, if you hit with the tip of the sword it has amazing knockback(one of the best in the game). It is good for finishing off your opponent and/or just knocking them back and leads to a combo.

Down Smash- He swings on the ground on both sides. It is really good against rolling and sidestepping. It can knock your opponent upward leading to another set of combos. This attack is done pretty fast, so it could cancel other down smashes if done correctly.

Up Smash- Marth takes his sword and jabs it straight up into the air. This is good for attacking people above you and takes priority over most Dairs. Another interesting thing to do is dash and then press and hold it which will cause him to slide while charging, and this is good for finishing and catching you opponent off guard.

Dash Smash- His running smash is very good, it can knock back good and is good for setting up more combos.

Aerials- His aerials are some of the best in the game

Neutral Air- His swings back and forth delivering two blows if timed right, it is good for hitting people that aerial dodge.

Down Air
- He swings his sword beneath him, it can deliver a devestating meteor smash if done correctly. It is good for attacking in the air, because it can also knock from the sides.

Forward Air- He swings his sword forward, this can lead to tons of combos and greatly adds to his edge-guarding. It can be done several times, like you could do it and then jump and do it again.

Back Air- He swings his sword behind him, a good attack, but not as good as his other aerials.

Up Air- He swings his sword above him, this is also good for starting combos. You could pull this attack off and the follow up with 1 or 2 other aerials.

Special Attacks

B- He charges up his sword and jabs forward really fast. This attack is called the shieldbreaker, because if it is fully charged up, it can destroy an opponents shield. Leaving them wide up to other attacks. This attack is also good for recovering, if you are off to the side and charge it up, it will send you faster towards the way you want to go, but be warned it has to be charged all the way up for it to have an effect.

B-over- He uses his sword dance, which is a series of sword attacks. It can be varied by pressing b up/b down after the first swing. The down attack is good for dealing a lot of attacks for more damage. If b up is used, it can send your opponent into the air, which leads to more combos with aerials. This is arguably one of the best specials in the game.

B-down- He uses his counter. Which takes any attack(not final smashes) and makes him swing his sword sending back the same amount of damage the attack would have done. It needs to be performed with good timing to pull it off. If it is poorly timed, then it can leave you wide up.

B-up- He pulls of his dolphin wave, which is like him flying upward with his sword out causing a wave.This is a very good finisher with high damage. It is also very good for recovering, and if timed right he will automatically grab the edge, or he can go through the stage causing damage.

Final Smash

He lunges forward with great speed and is an automatic kill, but if you are in the air, or on a no edge stage, he will keep going till he hits something or comes to an edge. If he doesn't he will go off the stage and die. You can cancel it somehow by pressing B a lot during it.

Throws
Like all throws he can punch a few times before throwing. His down throw he just throws them downward, his backwards through just throws the back, his up throw is just throwing them up, and his forward throw hits the opponent on his knee and launches them forward.
This is my first character guide, so feel free to critique my work.

*Note- ALL attacks are a lot stronger when hit with the tip of the sword.
